Simin Yang's One Day - She is in Urban Village

This city is my most familiar alien land. It is the third time that I visit this city, but it is the first time that I get to know it profoundly.

Today is the last day of shooting, the theme of this shooting is the day of Simin Yang who is the 2nd generation of migrant. Yang's family is not an aborigine in Kemulang Village. Her parents came here 20 years ago. After such a long struggle and catching up with the government's demolition policy, their family becomes rich now and own several relocation buildings. Not like Tang and Chen, there is no pressure on her life and she does not worry about her livelihood. Her purpose of working is not to make money, just want to have something to do. 

Yang’s day starts at 7:30 a.m. Her job is telephone customer service. Because she doesn’t need to show her face, Yang doesn’t care much about her image when she goes to work. Usually, she goes to work soon after she got up. She doesn’t make up carefully, and the clothes are very plain. Therefore, her outlook doesn't reflect her superior family conditions at all.

Apart from less requirements for dressing, Tang has less requirements for eating. Every morning, she buys a piece of rice noodles as her breakfast at the shop in front of my house and eats on the subway. I asked her during the interview where she would choose when she goes out for dinner? Longdong or Tianhe City (A big shopping mall)? Her choice is Longdong because there are many vendors and it is no need to line up. For her, Longdong's food stall is good enough, and she feels satisfied. She is really a very simple person, without the arrogance of upstarts.

When getting along with her, it can obvious that she is very satisfied with her current life. In addition to good family conditions, she has a very affectionate boyfriend, and they are planning 

together for their future life. She also admitted that she is very satisfied with her life now.

After get off work in the evening, Tang was called out to hang out with her friends. Her one day passed quickly, very busy and simple. She doesn’t need to worry about your livelihood and be so stressed. As long as she live her own life, Tang doesn’t need to plan too much for the future. Perhaps the only thing she needs to think about is when she marry her boyfriend. Her current state may be the dream of many women in urban villages, but after all, she is a minority. We hope that she will continue to be so simple and happy in the future.
