没太有什么满意的空间，只能说对这边的租金比较满意，因为比起周围来说，便宜一半。不过周边的生活也算比较方便，食品店啦便利店啦也都有，下班路上正好可以把需要的啥都顺便买了，不需要去远的地方。而且我觉得村里有那么多小商店也能给路照明，感觉走起来安全点。所以我对周围的便利程度还是蛮满意的。

I know. To be honest, quite few. I'm not very satisfied with this place. I can only say that I am just satisfied with the rent here because it is almost half cheaper than the surroundings. Also the surrounding facilities are relatively convenient, such as food stores and convenience stores. I can buy everything I need on the way home without going far away. And there are many small shops here that can also light the road to make me feel safer. So I am satisfied with the convenience in this urban village.

比如说你现在租的房子和城中村里的环境，这些你对它们感觉怎么样？
哦那我知道了，那确实有不少。那我先说说我家吧。首先我现在租的这个房子大小的话还是够用的，也够我跟我老公和小姑子一起住。虽然有三个房间，但是每个房间都太小了，除了床基本上就放不下什么东西了。还有就是家里的家具设备什么的都太破了，而且不太全。比如这个房子本身就没什么橱柜，所以我们只能把各种东西都摆在桌面和地上，显得特别乱特别挤。

Oh, I see. Many. First is my house. The house I rent now is still big enough, and there are three bedrooms for us- my husband, his sister and me- to live in. But, you know, they are too small, and there is not too many things in each room after putting a bed in each room. Besides, the furniture and equipment at home are too old, and they cannot fully meet our daily needs. For example, the house has no cabinets, so we can only put all kinds of things on the table and the floor, which is very messy and crowded.
那为什么不考虑一下置办点家具呢？
这是我们租来的房子，租这里本来就为了省钱，怎么可能再多花钱买家具呢？目前来说凑合着能住就可以了吧，也没法要求太多。而且我们可能不会在这里住太久，到时候搬家的话也很麻烦。

The reason we rent this house is to save money, so it is impossible to spend more money on furniture. At the moment, it is still ok to live, and we can’t ask for too much. And we may not stay here for too long. So it would be troublesome to move at that time if we had too much furniture.
可以具体说说对哪个房间或者角落不满意吗？
那首先肯定是厨房啊，你也见过吧，又脏又小，而且我们家这个楼还跟隔壁的楼紧挨着，虽然厨房开了窗，但是还不如没有。黑洞洞的，而且灯也很暗，我们家三人平时上一天班，也没人顾得上换个灯。而且本身环境就不行，换了灯也不会有什么太大作用。而且这个厨房连着厕所，也不知道为什么当初竟然能设计成这样！

it must be the kitchen. You have seen before, it’s dirty and small. And my house is very close to the opposite building. Although the kitchen has a window, it is useless, just a black hole. The light bulb in the kitchen is also not in good condition, and we are too busy with daily work to change a good bulb. Moreover, the environment itself is not good, and changing the bulb is meaningless. Besides, this kitchen is connected to the toilet. I don’t know why this design could be accepted when building at first.

还有其他的吗？比如有什么家里的用品和布置是你想要却没有的？
嗯……应该也差不多了吧。
哦对了，其实我想有个梳妆台的，平时就卧室挂个小镜子，只能对着那个小镜子化妆。一些东西都没地方摆，用的时候也只能把它放在床上的折叠桌上。而且我儿子每次来都跟我说现在住的这个房子不好看，墙壁都是白白的。我也觉得，要是多些装饰品就好了。
反正我对我家的感觉大概就是这样子了吧。

Hmm...Oh, I really want to have a dressing table. I usually hang a small mirror on the wall of the bedroom, and I can only put on makeup in front of that small mirror. Also I can only put something such as cosmetics on the folding table on the bed when you use them. Besides, my son always tells me that this house looks not very good and the walls are all white. I also think it would be nice if there were more decorations.

好的，那对城中村室外的环境呢？比如说你每天上下班都要经过的路呀，看到的店铺呀，房子呀什么的。
我觉得城中村这个卫生情况真的不好，虽然我老家的村子没有什么清洁工专门打扫，但是不像梅园新村这样地上经常有些脏水啊什么的。村口的小餐馆汽修店的一些废水有时候就直接倒在地上，感觉还蛮脏的。而且这里的房子都比较旧了，所以看起来就脏脏的。
嗯嗯，我也觉得，还有其他的吗？能具体一些么？比如某一条小路啊什么的。
就拿我家楼下来说吧，贴了一些小广告，而且尤其到了晚上还比较黑。每天晚上我都得天黑了才能到家，所以走起来挺吓人的。
哦对了，我家楼道里还堆了挺多杂物的，反正也没人管，所以大家就都堆着了。
还有之前你跟我去过的菜市场。虽然什么都有卖，但是路面挺脏的，很不好走。很多杂物都摆到了小路中间，很不好走。而且有骑电动车的，有像我这样走路的。在那么窄的路上也不太安全。

I think the sanitation situation of this urban village is really bad. Although there are no cleaners in my hometown (a rural village), there is no dirty water on the ground like Meiyuan New Village. Sometimes some waste water from the small restaurant and auto repair shop at the entrance of the village is just poured directly on the ground, and it looks quite dirty. And the houses here are relatively old, so they also look dirty.

Take this building as an example. Some small advertisement paper is posted on the wall. And the road around the entrance is quite dark in the evening. It gets dark every evening when I get home, so it's scary to walk.
Oh, by the way, there is still a lot of debris in my corridor, but no one cares anyway.
Also another is the food market you visited before. Although there is a wide range of food, the roads are quite dirty, and many items are placed in the middle of the path, so they are difficult to walk. And someone rides electric bikes, and for someone walking, like me, it’s not safe on such narrow roads.

我对我们家还有我们的商店还算挺满意的，住的也蛮舒服的，因为房子是家里开店赚够了钱买的，小商店是我们家自己建的，所以都能按着我们的想法来，后面加点东西或者减点东西也比较自由。

I’m quite satisfied with my house and shop, and they are comfortable to live in. The shop was built by ourselves, and the house was bought with the money we made through running this shop, so we can design the internal layout of the shop and house based on our own ideas, and it is more free to add or remove something for the shop and house.
那有没有什么不太满意的地方吗？
唔大体上也算满意吧，不过感觉还是有些能改进的地方。比如说客厅，感觉现在家具有点多。孩子现在会走了，我们在家的话就得有个人看着他，怕他撞到家具角这样。现在在门口窗台之类的地方都会安上防护栏房子小朋友跑出去之类的。我感觉需要改的就这么些，其他的话就看他再长长再说了。

I'm generally satisfied, but I still think that there are some areas for improvement. For example, in the living room, there is a lot of furniture now in my opinion. My son can walk now, so if he is at home, someone must pay attention to him for fear that he will hit the furniture corner. Now some barriers have been installed at some places such as doors and windowsills to prevent children from running out. I think this is a part that needs to be changed, and other conditions will depend on his growth.
那店里呢？我看您经常带他去店里。
店里的话没办法，货架之类的没法变，东西就是很多，不过我和他外婆也一直看着他，虽然小朋友比较调皮，但是基本也能做到不在店里乱跑了，所以在店里的话不用太担心，对店里的布局之类的也挺满意。要是再过几年条件再好些的话，还是希望换换桌椅柜子吧，毕竟是我中学那时候刚开店买的，都旧了。还有就是店门口打牌用的桌子，我们摆在那边是用来吸引村里的顾客的，一般下午或者晚上都来店门口玩一玩，顺便照顾照顾我们生意。现在城管不让留，我们也没办法，但还是想留着。还有那些杂物挺让人头疼的，平时来打牌的人都把酒瓶啊之类的垃圾随手一扔,为这事儿吧城管来了好几次了，确实也需要清理，毕竟环境卫生对小朋友还是影响挺大的。
还有我们店外面那一块，天天车来车往的吧，我儿子太小了，平时还调皮乱跑，所以我没时间看他的时候都得嘱咐他不能出商店。
How about your shop? I know you often take him to the shop.
We are satisfied with my shop, and I think it is a little difficult to change its layout because there are a lot of goods and shelves. Although my son is naughty, he knows he can not run in the shop, and his grandmother and I always look out him. Therefore, we don’t have to worry too much about him getting hurt in the shop. If the conditions are better in a few years, I still want to change the tables, chairs and cabinets. After all, we bought them when the shop just opened. They are quite old. Besides, the tables at the entrance of the shop are also a problem. We set them there to attract customers in this village to play poker, and they could buy something in my shop to eat or drink when playing by the way.
However, the city management officers does not allow these tables to be set outside my shop, and we have no choice, although we want to keep the same. Also I think the garbage outside my shop ,such as wine bottles, cartons and so on, should also be cleaned up. Someone who comes to play poker sometimes throw the rubbish on the ground. The city management has been here several times for this, and they do need to be cleaned up. After all, environmental hygiene still has a big impact on children. But we do not have much time to deal with them.
Another is the area outside of our shop where there is a lot of traffic. My son is too young and usually plays around, so I have to tell him not to leave the shop to prevent traffic danger when I do not have time to play with him.
哦哦，这样啊。那除了这些，你对柯木朗村的环境评价怎么样？
我住的这块柯木朗北村的房子吧还挺像农村的，但是好在很安静，空气也好。虽然我家都尽量装修的比较好了，但是一出家门下了楼房子还是挺破旧的。尤其是从家去店里的这一路上都挺破旧的。楼下就是个快递点，她们天天装卸快递到挺晚的，感觉有些吵。
Apart from these, how do you evaluate the environment of Kemulang Village?
The area I live in really looks like a rural village, but fortunately it is quiet and the air is fresh. My house has been decorated as well as possible, but the surrounding, especially the houses on the way from my house to the shop, is still a little shabby. Besides, downstairs is a express station. The load and unload parcels late every day, and I feel a little noisy.
那对你们家到店里的这段路感觉怎么样呢？
房子都比较破吧，感觉还是像住在农村一样，没太有住在广州城市的感觉。不过出了村就好很多，有地铁站、餐馆什么的。村子里路也不太平，尤其广州呢又爱下雨，然后那个地上全是水，一般这种时候我就不敢带小朋友到店里去了。
How do you feel about the way from your home to the store?
The surrounding houses are relatively shabby, and I still feels like living in a rural village not in Guangzhou. But it is much better outside the village. There are subway stations, restaurants and so on. Besides, the roads in the village are also not very flat, and it often rains in Guangzhou. So there is a lot of water on the ground, and I generally do not take my son to the shop at this time.

都还挺喜欢的，而且也都住习惯了，前两年新搬的房子也比之前旧的大了很多。

There are many places I like, and I am used to living in this village. The new house we live in now is also much larger than the old one
能在具体一些吗？比如你的房间或者家里的某个角落吧。
我房间的话我很喜欢我的那面墙，就是挂着很多照片的那个。因为是我自己DIY的嘛，所以就挺喜欢的，平时拍了新照片我就能贴上去，以后那面墙上的照片能越来越多，哈哈。
Could it be more specific? For example, in your room or an area of your home?
About my room, I like my wall very much, the one with many pictures. This wall is my own DIY, and I like it very much. I usually post new photos I take immediately, and it can record my memories. There will be more and more photos on that wall in the future haha.
那除此之外呢？比如村子里的环境。
村子里的环境呢就也谈不上喜欢了吧，对了，村里挺多小店的，餐馆、水果店、小超市什么的，平时早餐和晚餐经常都在村里买一些吃。就是好多店早上开门晚，我上班的时候买不了。
How about others? For example, the environment in this urban village?
To be honest, I can not say I like the environment. Oh, by the way, there are many small shops in the villages, such as small restaurants, fruit shops and small markets. I usually buy some for breakfast and dinner in these shops. But many of them open late in the morning, and I can’t buy something when I go to work.
你对你家的室内空间有什么不太满意的地方吗？
倒也没什么，就感觉房子比较大嘛，但是放的东西不多，感觉有些冷冷清清的。当初我爸妈负责装修的，所以家具都是木头的，我觉得太老气了，不太喜欢。我们家就我和爸妈还有我妹妹一起住，有的房间就闲置着，用来放些杂物，感觉有点浪费。
还有我家的防盗窗，铝合金的嘛，感觉像个笼子一样，但是为了安全，没办法咯。
Are you not satisfied with some interior areas of your house
I think the house is good. But sometimes it looks a bit deserted. the house is relatively large, but there are not many decorations. So I think it would look better with more decorations. Besides, my parents were responsible for the decoration, so the furniture was all made of wood. I feel too old-fashioned and don’t like it. And in our house, I live with my parents and my sister, and some rooms are left unused to put some sundries, which feels a bit wasteful. There are also some anti-theft windows, made of aluminum alloy, which feel like cages, but for safety.
你对你们村的环境有什么不满意的地方吗？
这个嘛……就我刚说的好多小店开门太晚了吧，像我这种八点钟出门上班的想买个早餐有点麻烦。
还有晚上的时候回家，如果玩的比较晚了回来就有些害怕了。因为路上灯不多，有很多小巷子黑黑的，不敢接近。我之前晚上回家还摔过一跤。
Are you not satisfied with the environment in your village?
Well... as I just said, many shops open too late. It’s a bit troublesome for someone, like me, who goes out to work at 8 o’clock to buy breakfast.
Also, it’s late when I go home. Sometimes I would feel a little scared because there are not many lights on the road, and there are many small alleys that are dark and I dare not approach. And I had a fall when I went home at night before.
因为太黑了吗？
嗯，也因为这个地面不太平整吧。下了雨还有积水，不小心就踩到水里了。平时在村子里出门可以穿拖鞋，但是上班的时候是不允许的，所以我的鞋子经常打湿。
Because it's too dark?
Well, yes, and it's also because the ground is not flat. It rained and there was still water, and I stepped in the water accidentally. Usually you can wear slippers when you go out in the village, but you are not allowed to wear slippers to work, so my shoes often get wet.
你对你们家这栋楼感觉怎么样呀？
还挺好的，毕竟最近几年新盖的，比周围的要新。感觉我家还有几套房子也在这个村里，但都是很旧的那种，平时都不自住，租出去了。租金也高不了，毕竟环境不好嘛。
How do you feel about your building?
It's pretty good, after all, this building was built in recent years and it is newer than the surrounding ones. There are still a few houses in this village, but they are all very old. We don’t usually live in them and rent them out. The rent is not high, after all, the surrounding environment is not good.
你说的环境不好具体指什么呢？
嗯就我刚才说的嘛，地面不平。而且我家其他几套房子的位置在路口挨着垃圾桶，每天来收垃圾的车过来，也比较吵。那边还有挺多树和乱草吧，尤其我们这边挺热的，所以很多虫子。
What do you mean by the bad environment?
Well, as I just said, the ground is not very flat. In addition, several other houses are located next to trash cans at the intersections. The cars that collect trash every day are also noisy. There are a lot of trees and messy grass over there, especially here is very hot, so there are a lot of insects.
