This is the most typical building in urban villages, which was built in 20 years ago approximately. As time goes by, it has almost been forgot by era, but its existence still support thousands of migrants' dream in cities.

This is the buildings of a community in Meiyuanxincun Village, which arguably the best buildings in the village. Compared with the other old buildings, this kind of building is higher, cleaner and neater, but it also has tensive space density.

This narrow road is the main road of Meiyuan New Village. There is no proper road markings, not mention traffic restriction. The lighting of the road even depends on the lights of the shopsb on both sides.

The houses in urban villages are wired with security mesh, since the security here can not be guaranteed. Even though the humid climate in Guangzhou does not dry clothes out, the tenant have to hang their clothes on the windowsill.

The extremely narrow gap between two buildings can reflect the reason why the tenants suffer from the dark living condition.

There are multiple abandoned buildings in urban villages, which have not been reused for several even decades of years. Although the remote buildings are also old, they are still making the most of their final value.

A jumble of plant and production waste have filled the factory yard, but has been left unattended for years. Nobody know how long will this terrible situation will last.
